Healers Grow Best in Community
Community is by far the most essential element of the Three Pillars of Team Practice. After years of personal study, hard work, and costly investment, graduates of most wellness schools lose their training community and are left to their own resources. As many as 80% fail to thrive within the first 6 months. They need the support of their professional community more than ever, but schools have little to offer past graduation. Grads struggle to maintain the inspiration they had in their study courses. It will feel like you’re practicing in the dark. Skills will begin to fade. Most will have no one to call on with questions about a client case. With this, it’s no surprise that only a tiny percentage of Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, and Vedic Astrology students go on to practice their trade professionally long-term. This has been a decades-long problem. The solution is a well-organized peer practice community.
At Sevanti Wellness, we believe that the wisdom of your practice will grow with time and experience and should be nurtured within a supportive practice community. Our team practice approach serves as a community lifeline for those who work independently in solo practices. We can also help you to build a group practice. We need professional peers to run clinical questions by and share methods with. Community practice provides the social glue and clinical setting needed for practitioners to grow. As humans, we can only grow together.

Kula Gatherings | Bi-weekly Clinical Meetings – Each clinical department – Ayurveda Counseling, Yoga Therapy, and Vedic Astrology- will hold a virtual Kula meeting on the first and third weeks of each month. Use this time to share challenging cases and clinical methods, help other practitioners, present findings from your work, and share new practice methods and resources relevant to each discipline’s unique practice system. Share your successes and your failures in a supportive environment of your peers. Time will also be provided for personal support and to share personal self-care methods. The department director and at least one faculty will be present at each meeting to provide guidance and oversight.
Sangha Gatherings | Monthly Informal Meetings – These casual virtual meetings are open to practice members across all three departments to meet and greet, learn from each other’s practices and specialties, and deepen social connections. These meetings are the perfect space to ask questions and workshop new ideas. Whether concerning your practice, managing clients, workshops, or anything else relevant to the greater Sevanti sangha, these monthly virtual calls are the spirit and soul of our community of practitioners.
Private Sevanti Community website – Sevanti Wellness hosts a private website called Sevanti Community. Practitioner community membership is required to access this site. There, members will have access to their peer community, clinical faculty, residency programs, professional development team, Slack channel enrollment, and Zoom meeting links. Sevanti Community is the heart and lifeline to a successful clinical practice.
Membership in our private Sevanti Practice – Though we are not a traditional in-person group practice per se, we do offer clients access to our practitioners on our Sevanti Practice website. This is a free and optional service. Each practitioner member has a personal profile page with a calendared booking widget. Our practitioners do not work for Sevanti, and we do not take a percentage of your clinical revenue. Each has an authentic practice embedded in their local community, yet is accessible via Sevanti Practice for virtual consultations.
Cross Referrals – Receive and send referrals from practice members across all disciplines at Sevanti Wellness. Create your own network of SW team member referrals that will reciprocate with their referrals to you. If you are an Ayurveda Counselor, send your client to one of our Ayurveda Nutritionists to create a customized meal plan. If you are a Vedic Astrologer and you sense that your client needs physical support for a recent injury, send them to one of our Yoga Therapists. If a client’s health is not responding to standard care, send them to a Jyotishi. The issue may be in their chart. Highlight your practice specialty topics on your Practitioner Profile page, and others will refer clients to you.
Advancement Program Access
As a Sevanti Community Member, you will have access to our seasoned faculty in a choice of two Advancement Programs: clinical Residency Programs and our Professional Development Program. Want to improve your clinical skills? Join a Residency Program. Want to enhance holistic business skills and make more revenue for your services? Join our Professional Development Program. These programs are optional.
Clinical Residency Programs – This optional plan is available for those wanting to be held to a higher standard of clinical practice. Each practice department (Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy, and Jyotish) will develop its unique residency program. See the department directors for details. Sevanti Wellness is proud to offer department-based residency programs to its community members as part of our Advancement Programs. Residency programs focus on advanced clinical training within the boundaries of their department tradition with some interdepartmental training. Residency training allows practitioners to aim for practice mastery built upon exposure to advanced clinical skill sets and the development of specialty training. We strive to create a healthy residency experience with enthusiastic residents who are clear about their long-term career goals and pleased with the quality of their training. The goal is to develop a master level of clinical competency within their scope of practice.
Professional Development Programs – This optional plan is available for those needing holistic support with business aspects of your practice. Our education includes very little business training, much less holistic business training that focuses on successful practices for wellness businesses. If it does, it is usually a weekend at most. We also know that wellness practitioners and healers commonly lack essential business acumen and aren’t the best at running or growing a business. And yet, we all need to make a comfortable living from our work. Therefore, we have developed a holistic business and personal development program to support individual growth and financial success.
The Professional Development Program is offered by the directors of the Department of Professional Development (DPD). By enrolling in this program, you will study under an experienced team of holistic business instructors and personal coaches. DPD directors will offer workshops and coaching. Outside guest instructors may be invited to teach. Topics will be related to the non-clinical growth of your practice, such as business tools, marketing, branding, use of social media, holistic business practices, leadership skills, and personal development and coaching.
