Professional Development Program

Holistic Business Training & Personal Coaching

Our education includes very little business training, much less holistic business training that focuses on successful practices for wellness businesses. If it does, it is usually a weekend at most. We also know that wellness practitioners and healers commonly lack essential business acumen and aren’t the best at running or growing a business. And yet, we all need to make a comfortable living from our work. Therefore, we have developed a holistic business and personal development program to support individual growth and financial success.

The Professional Development Program is offered by the directors of the Department of Professional Development (DPD). By enrolling in this program, you will study under an experienced team of holistic business instructors and personal coaches. DPD directors will offer workshops and coaching. Outside guest instructors may be invited to teach. Topics will be related to the non-clinical growth of your practice, such as business tools, marketing, branding, use of social media, holistic business practices, leadership skills, and personal development and coaching.

Professional Development Outline

Professional Development programming will include a combination of DPD director workshops and coaching and practitioner workshops presented by practitioner team members with authorization from a PDEC director or executive coach. Many of our courses are accepted for continued education credits at NAMA and IAYT.

Leadership Workshops

DPD Directors and guest instructors will offer the following training:

1. One monthly training: 60-90 minutes
2. One quarterly training: 3-4 hours
3. Two biannual training: in-depth online retreat

Workshops and training consist of personal development, data management, holistic business practices, teacher training, marketing, branding, and technology used in practice, among other topics.

Practitioner Workshops

Practitioners are encouraged to offer workshops to other team members. Each practitioner will join our team with varying levels of business development. Teach others what you have learned. The workshops aim to educate one another and improve business and practice skills. If you have skills that benefit others, please share them with the other team members.

Continued Education Credits

If you are a professional NAMA or IAYT member, you must submit continued education hours to maintain your membership. NAMA’s Professional Ayurvedic Continuing Education (PACE) program requires professional members to complete 30 credits every two years. IAYT requires at least 24 hours (24 CEs) of IAYT-approved continuing education every three years. Your attendance and teaching time at Sevanti Wellness may be accepted for CEU credits.

Personal Coaching

Personal coaching enables our practitioner members to receive personalized support and guidance from our team of professional executive coaches. Our coaches offer both one-on-one and group support at a higher standard of guidance. We also offer short sessions by the hour and longer commitments of 9-12 months.

Three Tiers of Personal Coaching:

Basic Tier: prerecorded modules, monthly group call, limited enrollment
Advanced Tier: more content, facilitated coaching, group coaching
Executive Tier: more one-on-one coaching and personalized executive coaching

Personal Coaching Requirements

Available to SW Team Members Only

Members must be a member of Sevanti Wellness in good standing. They must be accepted into one or more of the three SW departments: Ayurveda Counseling, Yoga Therapy, or Vedic Astrology. Payment of your monthly practice membership fees must be in good standing.

Personal Coaching Fees

Personal coaching fees will vary by department and coach. Members are responsible for scheduling sessions and paying all mentorship fees directly to their coach. Fees may be required to be paid on an hourly or monthly rate. Online access to your coach, including hours and days of availability, will be unique to your coach.

Individual Coaching

When faced with personal limitations, the practitioner should schedule a session with the coach for supervision. Each coach will have different hours of availability. Individual mentorship is a private, personal, and professional relationship with one aim only - to advance the personal skills of the practitioner in order to improve business outcomes in their practice.

Group Coaching

Some coaches may choose to host a group meeting of their enrolled practitioners. Executive coaching is a private process and yet there are universal teachings that are useful to share with other practitioners. Your coach may ask you to share such insights with other practitioners at a group coaching meeting. Group meetings create an environment of mutual support and growth. Group coaching is available at the discretion of each coach.

Ethical Conduct

As a SW Team Practitioner, you are expected to follow the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct with your clients, coach, practice co-members, and leadership team at all times. These standards are found in your Practitioner Contract. Violations may result in being removed from the Professional Development & Executive Coaching Program and SW practice. Such judgements are made by the leadership team.
